WYNNE KINDER, BA Ed
Lead Instructor and Partner
Wynne brings energy and compassion to her teaching. Her 17-year teaching career in private and inner-city public schools (formerly with the School District of Lancaster) provides a strong foundation of skills in assessing/addressing student needs, building relationships and guiding behavior. She is skilled at teaching attention, social engagement, emotional regulation and executive function skills. As a partner in Kinder Associates for the past 11 years, she is our lead instructor in creating, training, and conducting Wellness Works instruction in Pre-K to high school classrooms, developing curriculum, and training teachers.
She has practiced mindfulness for more than 15-years and received training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction; Mindful Yoga; Boys Town Teaching Social Skills to Youth; Trauma Informed Somatic Approaches through Justice Resource Institute (MA); Mindfulness-based Mind Fitness Institute (VA); along with YogaEd™ teacher training, Social Action Teacher Training with the Lineage Project (NYC) and Mental Health First Aid.
Most recently she has helped develop and is the voice for Mindful, Digital Brain Breaks (FLOW) on GoNoodle.com. As a collaborative effort with Dixon Life Coaching, Wynne has developed guided mindful awareness and meditation practices for a new website mindfullyADD.com.
Wynne is on the board of the Mindfulness in Education Network and has previously served as a board member of the YWCA and Compass Mark (formerly the Council on Drug and Alcohol Abuse). Wynne is a Pennsylvania certified teacher (K-6), holds a bachelor's degree in education from Alma College (MI), and is pursuing a master's degree in education through Eastern Mennonite University with focus on working with at-risk populations (graduates in August, 2016)
CHRISTEN COSIA, BS Ed
Christen is an enthusiastic and caring educator. She has taught in both private and public educational settings (formerly with the School District of Lancaster) with students of all abilities from preschool through college. Now in her 11th year of conducting Wellness Works in Schools™ programs in urban educational settings, she teaches in K-12 regular, alternative and special education classrooms as well as at the Lancaster County Youth Intervention Center. Christen has received training in Boys Town Teaching Social Skills to Youth; Trauma Informed Somatic Approaches through the Justice Resource Institute (MA); and Mindful Yoga, maintaining a personal yoga practice for more than 15 years. Christen is a PA certified teacher (K-6), with a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Millersville University (PA).
MIDGE KINDER, MAT, RYT (Retired)

Midge is a dedicated and caring educator, always responsive to unique and diverse educational settings. As co-founder and partner in Kinder Associates, her personal commitment to education spans more than 40 years. With considerable teaching experience in her areas of certification (early childhood, pre-primary impaired, and special education - emotional support), 15 years ago, Midge created our innovative mindfulness in education program, Wellness Works in Schools™. She continues to research, and create curriculum for student and adult instruction. Midge, a certified and registered yoga instructor (RYT), has taught Mindful Yoga classes and mindfulness workshops in the community for more than 20 years.
She received professional training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction under the direction of Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D., founding director, and Saki Santorelli, Ed.D. executive director, Center for Mindfulness, University of Massachusetts Medical School; Yoga Ed™ teacher training in grades K-8; Social Action Teacher Training with the Lineage Project (NYC), and Mental Health First Aid. Midge holds a bachelor's degree in communications arts and secondary education from Michigan State University and a master's degree in education from Oakland University (MI). She is an adjunct faculty member of Millersville University's Department of Educational Foundations.
RICK KINDER, MBA, RYT (Retired)

Rick, formerly in corporate management of communications and marketing, brings a unique understanding of the dynamics and stresses within individuals and organizations. A registered yoga teacher (RYT), Rick's teaching and consulting career in mindbody health has evolved through more than 20 years of practice in Mindful Yoga/mindfulness meditation, and 15 years of teaching Wellness Works in Schools™, Mindful Yoga classes, and mindfulness workshops in the community.
